Job summary

Jefferson RISE Charter School in Harvey, Louisiana seeks a Math Instructional Coach to improve student achievement by developing Math teachers and supporting student outcomes. This 11-month, full-time role will supervise 6-8 teachers, teach Math ~50% of the day, and drive PLCs, classroom observations, and professional development.

Strong leadership, data-analysis, and communication skills are essential, with a focus on collaboration with the Instructional Leadership Team and families as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; two years teaching experience preferred.
• Strong instructional planning, assessment, and data-analysis skills.
• Ability to coach, influence, and develop adult learners.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and evaluate approximately 6-8 Math teachers.
• Conduct weekly one-on-one coaching meetings with direct reports.
• Observe classrooms regularly and provide actionable feedback using NIET framework.
• Develop individualized growth plans for teachers.
• Lead weekly Math PLC meetings and professional development.
