Job summary

The role reports to the Principal/Director of Curriculum and Instruction and involves classroom visits, professional development, data-informed planning, and collaboration with teachers and leaders to raise student achievement.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Alabama Teacher’s Certificate endorsed in the relevant subject area.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years successful teaching experience.
• Criminal background check required by the Alabama State Department of Education.
• Alternatives to qualifications may be considered by the board.

Responsibilities

• Act as a growth agent to build a collaborative culture of learning among adults and students.
• Support and guide teachers through regular classroom visits.
• Facilitate professional conversations on research-based instructional practices and student achievement.
• Plan, organize, and model research-based best practices and instructional technology to improve instruction.
• Assist teachers and leaders in analyzing data to inform instruction and adjust practices.
• Lead embedded professional development and promote team building and coaching.
