Job summary

The Oregon Child Development Coalition in Ontario, Oregon, is seeking an Instructional Coach I to support teachers and education staff through the Practice-Based Coaching model. You will help build staff capacity, align instructional approaches with the Head Start framework, and promote children’s readiness outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Minimum two years of relevant work in early childhood classroom teaching or instructional support.
• Certification in Practice Based Coaching is required (may be obtained on hire).
• Ability to pass background checks and Oregon requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supports development of coaching relationships with education staff.
• Conducts classroom and home-based observations to identify instructional strengths and growth areas.
• Assists staff in achieving professional growth goals for school readiness.
• Models effective teaching strategies during coaching sessions.
• Facilitates reflective discussions and problem-solving for continuous quality improvement.
• Documents coaching sessions and tracks progress for supervisor review.
• Coordinates with coaching staff to align with program-wide goals.
• Assists with group trainings on instructional practices and family engagement.
• Supports development of the CDA process with CCR&R.
• Maintains confidentiality and supports diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
• Performs additional duties as needed.
