CCRES Educational and Behavioral Health Services is seeking a Regular Education Instructional Assistant (IA) to support students and teachers throughout the school day. You’ll monitor activities, assist with classroom management, supervise lunch/recess, and provide social-emotional guidance as needed.

The role emphasizes teamwork, confidentiality and professionalism, with pay at $19 per hour and 21 hours of PTO.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred.
• Prior public-school experience preferred.

SUMMARY:

The Regular Education Instructional Assistant (IA) position works at the direction of building Principals and teachers to perform a variety of tasks supporting students through the school day. Responsibilities may include: monitoring activities with students, assisting teachers with classroom management, lunchroom & recess duties, assisting students individually or in small groups with organization skills, staying on task, academic support as well as providing social/emotional guidance when needed - performing all related work deemed necessary to support students as assigned by teachers and/or supervising school staff. Position functions as part of a team, working directly with students, teachers and school staff to perform all duties with accuracy, confidentiality and professionalism.

• The hourly Regular Education Instructional Assistant (IA) pay rate is $19 per hour
• 21 hours of paid time off (PTO) - prorated based on start date

Requirements

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma required. For Title I positions - Must pass for "highly qualified" as mandated by NCLB.
• Associates or Bachelors Degree - preferred
• Prior public-school experience and/or working with school-aged children in a licensed, certified, or registered provider setting - preferred
• Must have the ability to relate effectively with students, staff and public in a professional manner.
