Job summary

CCRES Educational and Behavioral Health Services is seeking a Paraprofessional to support students in Hershey Elementary School. The role aligns with the school calendar and supports Autistic, Emotional, Instructional, Learning, and Life Skills classrooms.

Salary is $21.15 per hour with prorated PTO. Benefits include employer-paid credentials and TB screening, medical/dental options for eligible hours, and retirement savings contributions. Training and credential renewals are paid by CCRES.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; Title I positions require passing requirements under NCLB
  • 2 years post secondary, Associate's Degree or higher preferred
  • Prior public-school experience and/or working with school-aged children in a licensed, certified, or registered provider setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide instructional, behavioral, and/or physical assistance to an individual student or a small group of students
  • Work with students on organizational skills, guide students in activities, monitor student progress
  • Directly support students at the direction of classroom teacher and building Principal

SUMMARY
  • The Special Education Paraprofessional will work on student days following the academic calendar year
  • The Special Education Paraprofessional may support students in one of the following areas: Autistic, Emotional, Instructional, Learning, and Life Skills classrooms
  • Hourly Paraprofessional pay rate is $21.15 per hour with 3 days of paid time off (PTO) - prorated based on date of hire
OPENING
  • Hershey ElementarySchool (K - 5)
    • Schedule: 8:40am - 3:35pm (on a full school day)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide instructional, behavioral, and/or physical assistance to an individual student or a small group of students - including, but not limited to: on-task prompting, facilitating social skills, and self-care skills
  • Work with students on organizational skills, guide students in activities, monitor student progress
  • Directly support students at the direction of classroom teacher and building Principal
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma required. For Title I positions - Must pass for "highly qualified" as mandated by NCLB
  • 2 years post secondary, Associate's Degree or higher - preferred
  • Prior public-school experience and/or working with school-aged children in a licensed, certified, or registered provider setting - preferred
CREDENTIALING

  • PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
  • PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
  • PA Department of Education FBI – Use code1KG6XN
  • TB Screening - current within 3 months
  • Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts
