Job summary

CCRES, Educational & Behavioral Health Services invites applications for an Instructional Aide (IA) to support students with academic, behavioral, social, and personal growth in the classroom environment. The role includes direct student support, IEP/504 accommodations, and collaboration with teachers and staff to ensure student success.

Qualifications

• Two-year post-secondary education (48 college credits) is preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional, behavioral, and/or physical support to individual students or small groups, including on-task prompting, social skills development, and self-care assistance.
• Support students with IEPs and 504 Plans by implementing accommodations and strategies as directed.
• Reinforce learning concepts, classroom instruction, and skill development to help students achieve their educational goals.
• Work one-on-one or in small groups to provide targeted academic and behavioral support.
• Assist students in developing organizational, communication, problem-solving, and independent living skills.
• Guide students through classroom activities, monitor participation and progress, and provide feedback to instructional staff.
• Promote positive student behavior and help maintain a safe, supportive learning environment.
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, specialists, and school administrators to support student success.
• Supervise students during lunch, recess, arrival/dismissal, transitions, and other non-instructional school activities.
• Foster positive relationships with students while encouraging independence, confidence, and social-emotional growth.

Education
