Job summary

The Richardson School in Madison is seeking an Instructional Aide to support students with educational, therapeutic, and hygiene needs. You will work under supervision to implement IEPs, provide behavioral support, and maintain a calm, safe classroom environment.

Hours are 8am-4pm during the school year with ESY or camp options. A valid driver’s license and Wisconsin DPI Instructional Aide license eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
• Eligible for Wisconsin DPI Instructional Aide license.
• Experience with special needs students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet with teacher or supervisor to discuss daily activities and student needs.
• Complete paperwork and data entry for students as scheduled.
• Use approved treatment techniques in supervising students after training.
• Familiar with behavior management and education techniques used at TRS.
• Act as a role model for students and staff; support IEP implementation.
• Engage students in active learning and assist staff as needed.
