Job summary

The Richardson School in Madison, WI is seeking an Instructional Aide to support students with complex needs in education, therapeutic/behavioral support, and hygiene as needed. You will work closely with teachers to implement IEP goals and ensure safe, respectful learning environments.

Responsibilities include data collection, behavior support, and collaboration with staff. The role requires a driver’s license, background checks, and potential eligibility for the Wisconsin DPI Instructional

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License and have an acceptable driving record.
• At least one year of experience working with special needs students preferred.
• Eligible for Instructional Aide license through the Wisconsin DPI.

Responsibilities

• Meet with classroom teacher to discuss daily activities, academics, behavioral support, and medical concerns.
• Complete and submit paperwork and data in a timely fashion.
• Use Agency-approved treatment techniques in supervising and educating students after training.
• Demonstrate familiarity with behavior management and education techniques used at TRS.
• Act as a role model for students, staff, and the community.
• Assist with implementing students’ academic programs under supervision.
