Job summary

KIPP Northern California is seeking an Instructional Aide to support students in a special education setting and regular classrooms, in person or virtually. Works under a certificated teacher to reinforce learning activities and manage behavior according to school guidelines.

Responsibilities include preparing materials, assisting with curriculum modifications, providing testing accommodations, and supporting social interactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• A.A. degree or higher preferred.
• Pass the ETS ParaPro Assessment (460) required or in process.

Responsibilities

• Tutor or reinforce learning activities in core academic areas in small groups or one‑to‑one.
• Assist in maintaining a safe, cooperative classroom environment.
• Prepare and set up instructional materials and equipment for activities.
• Assist teachers with curriculum modifications for students.
• Provide testing accommodations and monitor sections as needed.
• Review and correct student work and support behavior intervention plans.
