Job summary

Nourishing Hope in Chicago is seeking a Manager of Institutional Partnerships to oversee a mid-tier portfolio of corporate and foundation funders, cultivate new revenue opportunities, and lead corporate volunteerism and employee engagement partnerships.

This role also directs the Chicago Marathon fundraising team and supports the broader institutional partnerships strategy through prospecting, proposal coordination, and funder engagement. Hybrid schedule from HQ at 1716 W. Hubbard St.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of fundraising, business development, or sales experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
• Knowledge of cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for corporate and foundation fundraising.
• Proven proposal writing experience.
• Experience obtaining information about corporate and foundation giving programs.
• Self-motivation with disciplined work habits.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and networking skills with large groups and individuals.
• Ability to initiate and build relationships with donors and interact with institutional representatives.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with limited supervision.
• Track record of generating significant commitments.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of 50–75 active funders and prospects; lead proposal creation and reporting to meet revenue goals.
• Identify and qualify 50 new institutional leads annually across health and hunger sectors; build a diversified pipeline.
• Cultivate corporate volunteerism and employee engagement partnerships with program and operations teams.
• Lead Nourishing Hope’s Chicago Marathon fundraising team; recruit participants and support peer-to-peer campaigns.
• Represent the organization in funder meetings and community events; maintain Salesforce pipeline activity.
