Nourishing Hope in Chicago seeks a Volunteer Engagement Coordinator to enhance the volunteer experience across four city locations. You will lead groups, coordinate scheduling, and partner with development and program teams to ensure smooth service shifts.

The role supports donor outreach, creates communications, maintains volunteer records, and helps recruit volunteers to sustain programs. On-site work with flexible hours, travel to locations, and supervision of interns are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1–3 years experience with volunteers in nonprofit, events, or fundraising settings.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Google Suite.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Strong communication and public speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Group coordination for volunteer groups and on-site logistics across four locations.
• Donor stewardship and community partnerships to engage small businesses and schools for volunteering and fundraising.
• Create and update communications materials; manage on-site announcements, tours, and cafe board systems.
• Maintain volunteer records and support recruitment/retention strategies with data tools.
