Job summary

Summit BHC is seeking a hands-on Cook to implement menus, coordinate food preparation and serve meals to clients, staff and visitors at our facility onsite in the United States.

You will follow dietary guidelines, maintain proper temperatures, track inventory, and ensure cleanliness and sanitation per policy. A high school diploma and ServSafe certification are required or preferred; 2+ years in institutional food service is welcome.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Two or more years' experience in institutional food service preferred.
• SERV Safe Certification or similar food safety certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans and prepares foods per facility policies and provided menus.
• Plans individual cooking schedules to ensure timely preparation for regular and therapeutic menus.
• Follows recipes and portioning procedures for meats, entrees, vegetables, soups and desserts.
• Maintains accurate temperature logs and proper storage, labeling, and dating of food.
• Directs activities of staff assisting in meal preparation and serving.
