Responsibilities

• Plans and prepares foods according to facility policies and approved menus.
• Prepares foods for regular and therapeutic menus while following recipes.
• Maintains temperature logs and ensures proper storage and labeling of items.
• Sets up steam tables and portions foods for standardized service.
• Directs staff in meal preparation and serving activities when needed.
• Keeps kitchen clean, inspects equipment and stocks supplies.
• Applies culinary techniques for special dietary requirements.
