Job summary

AMPORTS Inc. in Dundalk, MD is seeking an entry-level Automotive Accessory Installer to perform quality installations on new vehicles and support OEM guidelines.

You will use hand and air tools, complete pre-delivery inspections, and work within a team to meet OEM time requirements while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• No prior experience or training required.
• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
• Must be able to obtain TWIC badge and have a valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality installations of automotive accessories on OEM manufacturer vehicles.
• Install accessories including roof rack systems, trailer hitches, wireless charge pads, and other OEM-ready parts.
• Remove wrap, guard and interior plastics as needed for installation.
• Use hand and air tools to install both small and large accessories.
• Complete Pre-Delivery Inspections for OEM Manufacturer rental fleet and related campaigns.
• Meet time requirements per OEM guidelines and adhere to Quality Control standards.

AMPORTS is a leading provider of port-based automotive and logistics services supporting customers across the United States. The Finance team supports accurate, timely financial processing and reporting at corporate and facility levels, enabling operational continuity and strong internal controls.

Summary/Objective

Install accessories on new vehicles.

Essential Functions

• Perform quality installations of automotive accessories on OEM manufacturer vehicles.
• Install accessories including roof rack systems, trailer hitches, wireless charge pads, front and rear park assists, interior illumination kits, exterior body kits, illuminated scuff plates, frameless mirror links, upgraded fog light systems, body decals, rear bumper guards, spoilers and any new accessories put into production.
• Remove wrap guard and interior plastics.
• Use hand and air tools to install small and large accessories.
• Complete Pre-Delivery Inspections for the OEM Manufacturers rental fleet as well as campaign initiatives that require parts replacement or reflash of ECU software.
• Meet the time requirements of each accessory installation per OEM manufacturer guidelines.
• Adhere to the OEM manufactures Quality Control guidelines.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct reports.

Work Environment

Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office, production Letting, outdoor/indoor shop environment or enclosed vehicle with adequate ventilation and protection from extreme weather conditions.

Physical Demands

Moderate physical activity performing strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative or production/technical nature. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach and handle items.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are primarily 8 hours each day, Monday through Friday on a day shift. This position often requires overtime.

This position does not have any travel requirements.

Required Education And Experience

No prior experience or training.

Preferred Education And Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Operations

Basic personal computer skills.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

This is a non-exempt position with an hourly rate of $19.00 per hour.
