Job summary

Carter Lumber Company in Raleigh seeks an Installed Framing Field Supervisor to lead the framing for single and multi-family homes based on blueprints and customer contracts. You will supervise crews, coordinate materials, and uphold safety and quality on the job site.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of heavy framing experience, reads blueprints, and focuses on customer service. Proficiency with scheduling tools (Builder Trend, Build Pro, Supply Pro) and strong math skills are required to meet

Responsibilities

• Analyze jobsite prior to the start to ensure quality construction.
• Frame buildings according to blueprints.
• Coordinate material deliveries and labor with the team.
• Schedule deliveries per Construction Manager and ensure material availability.
• Ensure OSHA, Carter Lumber, and site safety standards are met.
• Ensure project is completed in a timely manner.
• Maintain high quality workmanship for customers.

Job description

A Carter Lumber Installed Framing Field Supervisorwill manage the framing process for single and multi-family homes according to blueprints and customers contracts. Knowledge of building materials, local building codes and proper installation techniques will be vital in this position’s success as well as, a strong commitment to customer service. A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company are necessary to this position.

Requirements:

• 3+ years experience in heavy framing
• Ability to read blueprints
• Strong knowledge of building materials and tools
• Possess a strong work ethic and the ability to work under time constraints
• Possess strong math skills
• Ability to follow directions both written and verbal
• Ability to analyze and provide recommendations to solve problems
• Knowledgeable in scheduling programs such as Builder Trend, Build Pro, Supply Pro.

Responsibilities:

Construction:

• Analyzes jobsite prior to beginning of the job to ensure that quality construction can be done.
• Reviews construction documents and understands material needed to build.
• Frames buildings according to blueprint.
• Create and supports a safe work environment on the job site to protect the interest of the company at all times.
• Coordinate with the team to ensure that the material is delivered and that the labor broker receives a copy of the plans.
• Schedule the delivery according to the builder's Construction Manager schedule and ensure that the material is delivered.
• Ensure that the laborers frame in compliance with OSHA, builders and Carter Lumber standards and rules, including cleanliness and safety.
• Ensures that the project is completed in a timely manner.

Customer Service:

• Ensures that customers are given the highest quality of workmanship.
• This is accomplished through timely completion of the job, attention to detail, following the company's code of conduct and the ability to react to problems and complaints in a patient and understanding manner.

Knowledge & Training:

• Responsible for acquiring the training needed to build the product safely and efficiently.
• Responsible for becoming certified in the product/area that is being installed to ensure that we are providing the best service to our customers.
