Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a Training Lead to develop Product Sales Specialists and ensure customers receive outstanding service with expert product information. The role emphasizes guiding staff, maintaining accurate pricing and presentation, and delivering engaging shop floor experiences.

You will coordinate certification, supervise merchandising, and coach teams to meet seasonal goals while upholding safety and SOP standards across the department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of customer service/sales experience or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Act in line with company core values.
• Follow safe lifting practices and SOPs.
• Teach the basic P’s of retail: People, Position, Product, Presentation, Price, Promotion, Purchasing.
• Direct and assist product sales specialists for attentive customer service.
• Complete product specialist certification courses.
• Understand merchandise and installation processes.
• Maintain department merchandising, pricing, and organization.
• Communicate SOP changes to associates promptly.
• Complete forklift proficiency testing and certification.
• Communicate inventory needs to management.
• Process merchandise to showroom floor and price/signage.
• Greet customers and assist with product questions and selections.
• Process checkouts and refunds per guidelines.
• Present how-to classes to customers.
• Adhere to cash, check, and card procedures.
• Answer phones per guidelines.
• Stock displays and create price tags/signage.
