Job summary

FSS Technologies in Arlington Heights, IL, is seeking a motivated technician to install fire and security systems and to travel to customer sites as needed.

You will assist with hardware installation, maintain inventory, and document service activities while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. A high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and 3+ years in installation are required; NICET 1 is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Performance Objectives

• Complete assigned training modules and certifications within specified timelines.
• Deliver quality service and support that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
• Maintain timely and accurate service documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• 3+ years of experience in an installation role supporting fire systems, security systems, access control systems, and CCTV systems.
• Experience installing Kidde, DMP, Digital Watchdog, Notifier, and AiPhone preferred.
• NICET 1.

Work Hours & Benefits

• Core work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with travel to customer sites required.
• Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance after 30 days.
• Generous PTO policy and six company holidays in the first year (PTO prorated year one).

Salary & Compensation

• Target pay: $20 - $35 per hour based on experience.
• Company vehicle provided as soon as available, but no earlier than 90 days.
• Company gas card.
