Job summary
ChanceLight Education is seeking a Special Education Teacher to lead instruction for students in grades 6-12 with IEPs, delivering differentiated lessons in a learning center or classroom. You will utilize engaging curricula, instructional software, and PBIS to foster an inclusive environment and track progress with detailed reports.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in education or special education.
- IL state professional educator credential in process or current.
- IL LBS1/SEE credential in process or current.
- Ability to obtain crisis management training certification.
- Experience with curriculum development and differentiation.
Responsibilities
- Lead instructional process for grades 6-12 with IEPs.
- Deliver targeted instruction and personalize lesson plans.
- Collaborate in co‑teaching environments to meet IEP goals.
- Develop and adapt curricula to diverse learning needs.
- Track progress, document files, and prepare reports.
- Manage IEPs, goals, interventions and student caseloads.
- Maintain organized, safe classroom and PBIS implementation.
- Stay updated on research-based practices and professional growth.
- Support school community with additional duties as assigned.
