Job summary

Early Learning Corps, powered by Ampact, is hiring an Early Learning Tutor to work in a pre-kindergarten classroom and help young learners build literacy and math skills. You’ll receive training and coaching as you deliver proven activities alongside a classroom teacher.

Position runs for the 2026-27 school year with 35 hours per week (Mon-Fri). AmeriCorps members receive a biweekly stipend of $18.89/hour, health and child-care benefits, and substantial education assistance.

Qualifications

• Dependable with good attendance history.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• 18+ years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Support preschoolers with learning activities throughout the day.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with onsite coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter scores into tracking software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
