Job summary

Ampact's Early Learning Corps is hiring an Early Learning Tutor to work in a pre-kindergarten classroom, helping students build early literacy and math skills while receiving coaching and training. As an AmeriCorps member, you will earn a biweekly stipend of $18.89 per hour, with benefits including free health insurance, child care assistance, and extensive education benefits.

The 2026-27 schedule runs August 2026 through June 2027, with 35 hours per week (part-time 20 hours available), Monday

Qualifications

• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and implement feedback.
• Proficient with basic computer skills (email, online navigation).
• Citizen or eligible to work in the United States and able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Support preschoolers with learning activities throughout the day.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's onsite coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into tracking software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
