Job summary

Early Learning Corps, operated by Ampact, is hiring an Early Learning Tutor to work in a pre-kindergarten classroom and help students build early literacy and math skills. You’ll be trained to deliver activities and coached every step of the way, partnering with a teacher to enhance learning through talking, reading, writing, singing, and play.

The role includes AmeriCorps benefits, a daytime schedule 35 hours/week, and opportunities for growth and advancement within the program.

Qualifications

• Dependable with good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and apply feedback.
• Proficient with basic computer skills (email and online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading and writing).
• 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.
• Able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Support preschoolers with learning activities during the day.
• Track student progress and meet with the onsite coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter scores into tracking software.
• Grow professionally through coaching and training.
• Share experience with the community.
