Job summary

Arc Experience in Los Angeles is seeking a Program Leader for after-school programs. You will guide students through social-emotional learning, homework help, and enrichment activities in a safe, engaging environment.

The role is part-time and non-exempt, with afternoon hours Monday to Friday. Candidates need at least one year in after-school programs, strong communication with kids and parents, and flexibility to work with diverse communities.

Qualifications

At least one year of experience in after-school programs or youth recreation, especially in ethnically and culturally diverse communities.
Good communicator with kids and parents.
College transcripts showing 48+ college credit units or a proficiency exam.
TB test with negative result and Live Scan background check.
Bilingual English-Spanish will stand out.

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome kids at the end of their school day.
Organize and lead activities including homework help, recreation games, arts and crafts, and educational projects.
Join in indoor and outdoor enrichment activities.
Create unique clubs for students (career readiness, cooking, anime, dance).
Maintain a secure environment by following safety protocols and monitoring behavior.
Oversee safety and well-being during after-school activities.
Encourage participation and adapt activities to diverse needs and interests.
