Job summary

IDEA Public Schools seeks passionate teachers to guide students toward college readiness. You will plan rigorous instruction, monitor progress, and engage families in student achievement.

The role emphasizes data-driven interventions, strong classroom management, and a commitment to IDEA’s values. Starting salary is $63,500 with stipends based on certifications and campus leadership, plus performance-based compensation.

Qualifications

• High-level content-area proficiency evidenced by teaching certification or relevant experience.
• Education degree from an accredited institution is required.
• Experience in K-12 classroom settings is strongly preferred.
• Reading academies or TX training may be required for K-3 teachers; bilingual certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement state standards and IDEA curricula and assessments.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track student progress with formal and informal assessments and adjust plans.
• Communicate progress with students and families weekly.
• Use technology effectively to support learning and tasks.
• Establish and maintain a behavior management system aligned with campus initiatives.
• Help develop a positive school-wide culture and community.
• Engage with families to build trust and collaboration.
• Provide tutoring sessions as needed; participate in meetings and after-school duties.
• Participate in ongoing learning and development; spend 40+ hours weekly on campus.
