Job summary

IDEA Public Schools seeks teachers for IDEA Academy to deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction across core subjects. You will plan and assess to drive student mastery, and actively engage with families to share progress and celebrate growth.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor’s Degree and TEA-aligned certifications; reading academies and ESL/bilingual credentials are highly valued. This on-site role includes competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Content-area expertise demonstrated by teaching certification, field of study, or relevant work experience.
• K-12 classroom experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to teach core subjects and assess student progress against state standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rigorous instruction aligned to state standards and IDEA curricula.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track student progress with assessments and adjust plans accordingly.
• Communicate student progress weekly with families.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment and implement behavior management systems.

Reading Academies certification

Bilingual certification (preferred)
