Job summary

Gorbel in Goodyear, AZ is seeking an Inspector/Receiver to handle the physical receipt of products, inspect, and process ERP transactions. This role involves matching packing slips, placing materials, and performing dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, and related tools.

A high school diploma plus 2 years in shipping/receiving is preferred, with certification training available on hire. The position requires lifting up to 50 lbs, crane operation, and reading blueprints.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum two years experience in shipping and receiving preferred.
Ability to pass truck and crane certification with training on hire.
Basic mechanical skills and intermediate math skills required.
Computer knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel, and related programs.
Ability to read tape measures and blueprints; use inspection equipment.

Responsibilities

Verifying accuracy of incoming components and raw materials to order documents.
Responsible for dimensional inspection of incoming components.
Match all packing slips with purchase orders and notify impacted departments of discrepancies.
Complete receiving transactions in the ERP system the day components are received.
Place all components and raw material in assigned locations.
Complete Non-Conforming Material Report (NCMR).
Use overhead cranes, pallet jacks, and forklifts to unload trucks.
All other duties as assigned by management.
