Job summary

Geater Machining & Manufacturing, Co. is seeking a Receiving Inspector to review, test, and control incoming materials from suppliers for production use or sale. The role emphasizes adherence to quality standards, use of GOLD for instruction lookup, and maintaining accurate documentation.

The position requires strong attention to detail, proficiency with ERP systems, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and ensure material conformity.

Qualifications

• Read, write and speak English fluently.
• Excellent communication skills for coordination between departments, customers and suppliers.
• Proficient in ERP systems and data logging.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• GD&T and blueprint knowledge is highly recommended.
• Experience with quality inspections and material conformity checks.

Responsibilities

• Review and test incoming materials for conformity to specifications.
• Document inspection results and log data in the quality systems.
• Maintain measurement equipment and seek repairs as needed.
• Verify PO requirements and ensure operations meet requirements.
• Communicate supplier performance to QA Supervisor.
• Isolate nonconforming material and coordinate containment actions.
