Job summary

Gorbel® is hiring for an Inspector/Receiver on the First Shift in the United States. The role ensures accurate receipt of components, performs dimensional inspection, processes ERP transactions, and stores materials in designated locations.

You will verify documentation, complete NCMR, and use cranes or forklifts as needed. Qualifications include a high school diploma (or 2+ years in shipping/receiving), ability to read blueprints and tape measures, basic mechanical skills, and proficiency with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or minimum two years experience in shipping and receiving preferred.
• Must be able to pass truck and crane certification with training upon hire.
• Basic mechanical skills.
• Intermediate math skills.
• Computer knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and other computer programs.
• Ability to use inspection equipment (calipers, tape measures, micrometer, etc.).
• Ability to participate in minor data entry.
• Ability to read a tape measure and blueprints.
• Ability to use hand tools requiring dexterity.
• Must communicate effectively with factory supervision.

Responsibilities

• Verifying accuracy of incoming components and raw materials to order documents.
• Responsible for dimensional inspection of incoming components.
• Match packing slips with purchase orders and notify impacted departments of discrepancies.
• Complete receiving transactions in ERP system the day components are received.
• Place all components and raw material in assigned locations.
• Complete Non-Conforming Material Report (NCMR).
• Use overhead cranes, pallet jacks, and forklifts to unload trucks.
• All other duties as assigned by management.
