Job summary

Gorbel, Inc. is seeking a Receiver/Shipper in the United States to manage material flow and outbound packaging with forklifts, cranes, and hoists.

You will read purchase orders, prepare shipping logs, and coordinate with logistics to ensure accurate invoicing and timely deliveries. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work fast-paced shifts, and proficiency in basic data entry and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to pass truck and crane certification with training upon hire.
• Computer knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and other computer programs.
• Ability to participate in minor data entry.
• Ability to read tape measure.
• Ability to read a blue print.
• Ability to use hand tools requiring dexterity.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with factory supervision.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload trucks of raw steel beams, non standardized and palletized loads up to 60 ft.
• Utilize forklifts, cranes and hoist systems to move loads over 1,000 pounds and 30 feet.
• Build custom skids and packaging as required.
• Process Purchase Orders to ensure accuracy and prioritize resources.
• Create and distribute up to date shipping logs to floor supervisors and upper management.
• Communicate with logistics and purchasing agents to ensure invoice accuracy and resolve issues.
• Inspect incoming/outgoing material for quality, dimensional accuracy, and correct quantities.
