City of New York, through NYC Parks, seeks a City Park Worker to inspect parks, playgrounds, restrooms and golf courses across five boroughs. The role uses GIS mapping, handheld devices, and MS Office to produce inspection reports. Outdoor work in all seasons and strict adherence to orders are required.
No formal education or experience are required; a NY driver license is mandatory, with residency rules applying for city service. Salary is $54,000 yearly.

NYC Parks is the steward of over 30,000 acres of land – 14% of New York City – comprised of athletic fields, playgrounds, basketball courts, pools, recreation facilities, golf courses, beaches and large natural areas. Operations and Management Planning (OMP) conducts inspections, audits and assessments of a wide range of Agency operations, performs analysis and present findings to management to measure Agency performance and improve services.
