Job summary

Jobtailor in North Carolina is seeking a quality control professional to identify, develop, implement, and maintain production process quality procedures, inspect castings and machined parts for conformity to prints and specifications, calibrate gages, and compile inspection reports. Qualifications

• Read and interpret engineering blueprint specifications.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information effectively in one-on-one and small groups.
• Apply common sense to detailed written or oral instructions.
• Handle problems with a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Perform arithmetic, geometry, trigonometry, fractions, decimals, rates, ratios, and percentages; interpret bar graphs.
• Program and operate CMM.
• Basic Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gages, thread gages, bore gages, optical comparator, and CMMs.
• Willingness to expand professional body of knowledge.
• Knowledge of PPAP and ASQ qualification/Plus.
• High school diploma or GED with related experience and/or training.
• Ability to stand, walk regularly; lift up to 40 pounds; good vision.
