Job summary

Carvana is hiring a Line Lead to supervise and develop hourly associates in the Inspection Center, driving production and quality goals. You will oversee daily workflow, coach the team, and ensure safety and adherence to Carvana standards in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and a clean driving record. This full-time role requires lifting up to 60 pounds, standing for long periods, and occasional overtime or weekend shifts,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience using computers.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Demonstrated functional expertise in one or more areas pertaining to Carvana’s reconditioning process.
• Demonstrated understanding of reconditioning processes and lean principles.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no DUIs and no more than two moving violations in the last 3 years).

Responsibilities

• Manage movement of cars into and out of the Inspection Center safely, meeting production and quality goals.
• Meet or exceed inventory production goals on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Oversee day-to-day activities of the assigned team; identify strengths/weaknesses; implement improvements.
• Engage team with coaching, development and performance management; provide feedback.
• Create a work environment with clear communication, cohesion, and Carvana values.
• Proactively communicate expectations, performance measures, and goals.
• Prevent and resolve conflicts among team members.
• Ensure adherence to systems, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
• Review and approve defects of incoming inventory.
• Lead production team and collaborate with General Manager to repair or reject inventory based on costs/quality.
• Train team using Quality Control standards to minimize re-checks and delays.
• Identify and complete repairs efficiently the first time to minimize re-work.
• Maintain safety by reducing injury risks in the shop environment.
• Effectively delegate tasks and manage multiple associates.
