Job summary

Humana is seeking a Data Protection Security Investigations Analyst 2 to support enterprise Data Protection Operations. You will triage alerts, review logs, and coordinate investigations across Legal, Privacy, Compliance, HR, and business teams, with a focus on reducing data-loss risk and maintaining compliant documentation.

The role emphasizes analyzing DLP, data classification, and information protection controls, while communicating findings to both technical and business audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, IT, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of relevant technical experience in Data Security, Cyber Data Protection, DLP, security operations, insider risk, or related fields.
• Experience triaging security alerts, reviewing logs, collecting evidence, and supporting investigations or incident response.
• Working knowledge of DLP, data classification, information protection, security monitoring, data handling, and exposure scenarios.
• Ability to analyze routine to moderately complex issues, follow procedures, and provide evidence-based recommendations.
• Experience supporting centralized intake, ticket handling, and case management with prioritization and follow-up.
• Effective written and verbal communication for explaining Data Security controls to stakeholders.
• Commitment to accurate documentation and continuous improvement of scalable workflows.
• Ability to use approved AI-enabled tools to improve investigation efficiency while protecting sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Analyze DLP alerts and controls across email, endpoint, web, cloud/CASB, collaboration, and data classification platforms to validate policy behavior and actions.
• Explain DLP, data protection, and information protection controls to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Serve as centralized intake for Data Protection inquiries, control questions, and incident requests; triage and coordinate through resolution or escalation.
• Investigate indicators such as unusual data access, bulk downloads, unauthorized sharing, or bypass attempts.
• Coordinate review or escalation with Threat Management, Legal, Privacy, Compliance, HR, and business stakeholders.
• Maintain objective, evidence-based documentation supporting consistent decisions.
• Coordinate response and escalation when elevated risk is identified; partner to resolve investigations and reduce data-loss risk.
• Communicate findings, limitations, and recommended next steps clearly to technical and business audiences.
