Job summary

Ferguson in Columbus, OH is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to support pricing proposals, bid activity and product information for the sales team.

This role requires training in the warehouse, yard, and at the sales counter, with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Starting at $21 and may be higher based on experience; pay range shown below; comprehensive benefits include health/dental/vision, PTO, 401(k) with company match, and more.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a sales support or related role.
• Experience in Waterworks or Construction is a plus.
• Comfort with physically demanding work.
• Ability to transition between warehouse, yard, counter and admin duties.
• Experience in a target-driven sales environment preferred.
• Develop knowledge of sales techniques such as prospecting, negotiation and closing.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage pricing proposals and quotations for products and services.
• Support new sales opportunities by monitoring bids and researching projects.
• Provide product and technical information to outside sales reps to generate sales.
• Develop and maintain customer documentation with product details.
• Act as liaison between customers and internal teams for orders and issues.
• Oversee Order-to-Invoice cycle and ensure quality and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
• Maintain regular attendance and perform other duties as assigned.
• This role involves training and work in the warehouse, yard and at the sales counter.
