Job summary

Horizon Forest Products is actively seeking an inside sales professional to generate leads and meet sales goals while supporting the Outside Sales Team. The role emphasizes building relationships with current and prospective customers and applying product knowledge to match needs with available flooring products.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to pass background checks and drug tests as part of a comprehensive sales

Responsibilities

• Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers.
• Work with the Outside Sales Team to implement and execute effective sales strategies to drive sales.
• Negotiates pricing with customers, prepares quotes and submits orders.
• Collaborates with purchasing departments, Branch Leaders and other team members to ensure that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly.
• Identifies and locates new customers through networking and cold calls.
• Applies product knowledge to match products to the needs of the customers.
• Gathering information from customers on competing products.
• Supplies leadership with oral and written reports on customer’s needs, problems, interests, competitive activities and potential for new products and services.

Horizon Forest Products is the distributor of Impressions Flooring Collection and offers customers over 75 years of industry experience and one of the most comprehensive inventories of pre-finished and unfinished hardwood flooring, floor equipment, abrasives, finishes, fasteners, and accessories in the mid-Atlantic and Texas region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers
• Work with the Outside Sales Team to implement and execute effective sales strategies to drive sales
