Job summary

PSA International in Chicago is seeking a proactive Sales Support specialist to assist with client proposals and quotes for the BDP BDS team. You will collaborate with origin/destination offices, procurement, and tender management to position PSA effectively.

Responsibilities include maintaining rate cards, updating Salesforce, generating new leads, organizing client visits, and preparing reports for regional leadership. A strong written and verbal communication skillset is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year business experience in sales support or telemarketing at a freight forwarding company.
• Understanding of Freight Forwarding quotation process.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with quoting and preparing new logo client proposals for PSA BDP BDS team by engaging with origin and destination offices, as well as with procurement and tender management.
• Liaise with local domestic transportation providers to maintain and improve vendor relationships and ensure market competitiveness.
• Ensure client rate cards are maintained up to date as needed.
• Ensure Salesforce is up to date for the country/region.
• Manage and maintain sales-specific campaigns and projects.
• Create new customer portfolio by identifying new leads via cold calling, using lead generation tools, and research.
• Organize customer visits for the sales team as needed.
• Communicate with department heads regarding customer’s quoting needs.
• Maintain good relations with customers and PSA/BDP employees.
• Assist with preparation of sales and marketing related reports for PSA BDP BDS or regional leadership.
• Assisting with completion of RFI and RFQs as needed.
• Work with BDS and Operations to develop Standard Operating Procedures as needed.
• Maintain designated target lists for BDS team.
• Other duties as required.
