Job summary

The role requires an associate or bachelor’s degree, building materials knowledge, and strong Excel skills. Experience with Agility and customer service is highly valued as you support a collaborative sales team.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree required.
• Product knowledge of building materials desired.
• Experience with internet-based computer systems and Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be the counter sales face for contractors and construction workers, translating needs into orders.
• Generate pick tickets and prepare orders for pick up or delivery, coordinating with scheduler/dispatcher and outside sales.
• Answer phones and take orders; confirm unbilled orders and coordinate delivery times.
• Provide stock availability information and shipment dates from vendors.
• Increase sales through cross-selling, up-selling, and promoting promotions.
• Follow up with customers to ensure ongoing satisfaction and resolve complaints.
• Be a reliable team helper across departments.
