Job summary

Wisconsin Building Supply is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to support new and existing customers with product selection, quotes, and order processing. The role includes initiating calls to generate sales, entering work orders, coordinating deliveries, and maintaining stock levels on the sales floor and in the stockroom.

Candidates should have 1–3 years of building material industry experience, strong communication skills, and knowledge of inventory control; this on-site position serves

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1–3 years of inside sales experience preferred.
• Knowledge of building materials and applications is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding product selection, orders, prices and quotations, complaints, and scheduling of deliveries and installations.
• Initiate telephone calls to customers to generate sales.
• Obtain orders from customers and sales representatives; enter work orders, credits, returns, return authorizations, pick tickets, and service requests; file paperwork accordingly.
• Coordinate purchase and delivery of special products; obtain pricing specifications, usage and availability.
• Manage schedules for projects by coordinating with outside sales, jobsites, and assigned customers.
• Maintain stock levels on the sales floor and in the stockroom.
• Research credits, returns, and late payments as needed.
• Check back orders and resolve outstanding issues; solve billing problems and compile data for closing.
• Handle special orders and advanced pricing; assist with pricing and special price lists.
• Develop and grow professional relationships with customers.
• Resolve jobsite issues and customer problems.
