Job summary

Service Steel Aerospace, a leading distributor of aerospace metals, is seeking an Inside Salesperson in Santa Fe Springs, CA. The role focuses on supporting existing customers, expanding business with new products, and presenting quotations while collaborating with field sales.

Strong communication and team skills are essential. You will help maintain stock knowledge for long-term contracts, respond to inquiries promptly, and participate in monthly sales meetings.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and understand sales.
• Prior sales experience not required; customer relations experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with computers; MS Office and databases knowledge preferred.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team.
• Analytical skills to assess profitability on bids and daily transactions.
• Negotiation and decision-making with strong relationship-building and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supporting existing customers and exploring opportunities for new products.
• Providing timely responses to customer inquiries.
• Assisting the field sales force with customer support.
• Maintaining regular telephone contact with key accounts and leads.
• Following up with customers on quotations and proposals.
• Prospecting and qualifying new business opportunities.
• Generating price quotations following pricing strategies.
• Understanding material specifications and customer needs.
• Supporting purchasing to maintain stock for long-term contracts.
• Participating in monthly sales meetings to review past performance.
• Some travel may be required.
