Job summary

Service Steel Aerospace, a Reliance, Inc. family of companies, seeks an Inside Salesperson at our Santa Fe Springs site. You will support existing customers, explore new product opportunities, and assist the field sales team to drive revenue while maintaining strong client relationships.

The role requires strong communication, a willingness to learn, and basic MS Office skills. Some travel is expected and the team meets monthly to review sales results and plans.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and understand sales is required.
• Previous sales experience is not required; prior customer relations experience is preferred.
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have good computer and applications knowledge.
• Computer and data entry skills required; experience using MS Office products, email and databases preferred.
• Ability and desire to learn is essential to this position.
• Must have ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Analytical skills to determine profitability on both large bid packages and daily transactions.
• Negotiation and critical decision-making skills; effective communicator; capable of building and developing strong business relationships; effective presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Support purchasing to maintain ideal stock levels for long term contracts.
• Participate in monthly sales meetings to report on past efforts.
• Some travel required.

Job Function

• Supporting existing customers, exploring opportunities for new products as well as expanding business within the current customer base, and introduce products to prospective customers.
• Providing responses to customer inquiries in a timely manner
• Assisting the field sales force with customer support

Compensation Range

The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $27.00/Hr. - USD $32.00/Hr. depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
