Job Summary:

As an Inside Sales Representative in the 3M Electrical Markets Division (EMD), you will establish, develop, and grow assigned distributors in an inside sales B2B environment. You will meet monthly goals through sales forecasting, customer interactions, and data analysis. Your impact will include:

• Driving 3M EMD sales to assigned distribution channels within your territory.
• Establishing and maintaining customer relationships, understanding their business models to influence key decision-makers.
• Introducing new products and communicating promotions to relevant customers and prospects.
• Maintaining and updating a sales plan with strategies to achieve the annual sales forecast.
• Demonstrating technical and procedural product knowledge to meet customer needs.
• Working towards sales quotas and productivity metrics.
• Sharing best practices to promote a positive team environment.
• Identifying market trends and account needs to adapt strategies and reach sales goals.

Your Skills and Expertise

To succeed, candidates should have:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher (verified prior to start).
• At least one year of combined experience in sales and/or customer service in a private, public, government, or military environment.

Additional preferred qualifications include:

• Three years of sales or inside sales experience.
• Experience within Electrical Markets.
• Knowledge of 3M Distributor product lines and key markets.
• Understanding of competitive suppliers and product lines.
• Advanced selling and value selling skills.
• Strategic, analytical, and creative thinking skills.
• Strong active listening, oral, written, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Lotus Notes, and CRM systems.
• Effective time and territory management skills.

Location: Remote Eligible

Travel: Up to 5% domestic and/or international travel.

For US applicants, the expected compensation range is $78,190 - $95,565, including base pay and variable incentive pay, depending on experience and location.
