COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Rancher Government Solutions (RGS) is specifically designed to address the unique security and operational needs of the U.C. Government and military as it relates to application modernization, containers, and Kubernetes.

Rancher is a complete open-source software stack for teams adopting containers. It addresses the operations and security challenges of managing multiple Kubernetes clusters at scale, while providing DevOps teams with integrated tools for running containerized workloads.

RGS supports all Rancher products with U.S. based American citizen with the highest security clearances who are currently supporting programs across the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and civilian agencies.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an Inside Sales Representative to help support our rapid growth in government markets for our products and services. The candidate should be a team player, motivated and coachable.

As an RGS Inside Sales Representative (ISR) you will be working closely with your assigned Account Executive, Marketing and Support. You will learn to articulate Rancher’s value proposition to prospects and jump start their journey to becoming valued, paying customers. Generating top of funnel leads will be your primary objective and the basis of your compensation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and manage a pipeline of specific sales territories-new and renewal
  • Prospecting to expand footprint in territories
  • Follow up on existing RGS leads generated through channel and marketing activities.
  • Ability to articulate the value of RGS
  • Work closely with Channel partners to qualify, and understand prospects passed to RGS.
  • Cross-collaboration with our teams to ensure proper cultivation of opportunities and customer success.
  • Represent RGS as a trusted partner through demonstration of solid core values and mission understanding of our customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-2 years in a sales role that includes direct outbound campaigns (OEM, Federal/SLED experience preferred)
  • Experience using Hubspot or Salesforce to manage daily activity
  • College Degree or Military Experience (Business or Engineering preferred)
