Job summary

Echo Electric is seeking a sales-oriented professional to understand client needs, recommend electrical solutions, and build lasting relationships while driving order accuracy and on-time delivery.

You will handle product information, quotes, coordination with logistics, and collaboration with the sales team to hit targets, staying current on industry trends and applying strong ethics and customer service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; sales/marketing coursework preferred.
• At least two years of sales, electrical, or distribution experience and/or product knowledge.
• Strong ethics, customer service orientation, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Understand client needs to recommend electrical products or solutions.
• Provide product information, pricing, and quotes by phone and email.
• Enter, track, bill, and expedite orders including backorders and vendor POs.
• Perform stock transfers when appropriate.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and drive repeat business.
• Collaborate with the sales team to reach targets and develop strategies.
• Coordinate with logistics to ensure seamless order processing and fulfillment.
• Stay updated on industry trends and market developments.

Job description

• Understand client needs and requirements to recommend appropriate electrical products or solutions
• Provide product information, pricing, and quotes to clients by phone and email
• Enter, track, bill, and expedite direct and stock customer orders, backorders, and vendor purchase orders
• Perform stock transfers when appropriate
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients
• Ensure customer satisfaction and drive repeat business
• Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and objectives
• Find win-win solutions for all involved parties
• Work with logistics and other departments to coordinate sales efforts and ensure seamless order processing and fulfillment
• Stay up to date on industry trends and market developments
• Participate in training to gain electrical product knowledge and application expertise for the end-use market

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent, with secondary or post-secondary coursework concentrated in sales/marketing, or equivalent on-the-job experience as determined by Echo Electric
• At least two (2) years of sales, electrical, or distribution experience and/or product and application knowledge
• Commitment to and demonstration of high ethical standards governing professional behavior and interactions
• Strong customer service orientation
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions/calculations
• Demonstrated time management and organizational skills, including an ability to plan and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Proven attentiveness to detail coupled with problem analysis and resolution skills
• Ability to sit and/or alternate between sitting and standing at will
• Ability to use a keyboard to enter text or data into a computer
• Ability to speak to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to clients or the public and to convey detailed spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly
• Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds, including in-person speech, telephone, and computer audio
• Clarity of vision ability of approximately 20 inches or less for computer use
