The Opportunity
This role combines relationship management, new-businessdevelopment, product solution selling, and sales coordination. You will supportexisting customers while actively building a pipeline of new opportunities,learning customer equipment and project needs, recommending appropriate partsand solutions, and managing the sales process from initial outreach throughquotation, order processing, and follow-up.
What You’ll Do
Grow & Manage Customer Relationships
- Build and nurture relationships with current clients, maintain satisfaction, and identify additional opportunities to support their projects.
- Proactively research and generate new business leads using CRM data, industry sources, events, and other prospecting channels.
- Connect with prospective customers through calls, email, online meetings, and on-site visits when needed.
- Handle objections, follow up consistently, negotiate appropriate terms, and move qualified opportunities toward close.
Understand Needs & Recommend Solutions
- Assess customer requirements and recommend suitable construction, excavation, and heavy-equipment parts and services.
- Present tailored product solutions based on customer needs, equipment requirements, availability, and project priorities.
- Participate in product and skills training to stay current on industry trends, product offerings, and customer applications.
Manage the Sales Process
- Prepare detailed sales quotations, follow up on open opportunities, and support the customer through purchasing decisions.
- Create and process sales orders and purchase orders accurately and promptly.
- Maintain complete sales activity, opportunity, and customer communication records in the CRM.
- Track activity, leads, conversions, and other key performance metrics and provide regular reporting.
Coordinate Internally
- Confirm inventory availability and coordinate with internal teams to respond efficiently to customer requests.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer service to provide consistent, high-quality support throughout the customer experience.
- Conduct on-site customer visits as needed to strengthen relationships, assess requirements, provide product demonstrations, or support the sales process when remote options are not sufficient.
What You Bring
- 3–5 years of inside sales experience, preferably in construction, industrial, manufacturing, or parts-related sales.
- Experience using CRM software such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or a similar platform, plus Microsoft Office and online communication tools.
- Strong B2B communication and presentation skills with the ability to build rapport, understand customer needs, and present solutions clearly.
- Experience with outbound prospecting, objection handling, sales follow-up, and closing is preferred.
- A demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding sales goals or quotas.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, analytical ability, and time management across multiple priorities.
- Self-motivation and independent drive, paired with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
