Responsibilities

Obtains orders through email and telephone calls, verifies and enters items, transfers orders to fulfillment.
Increases orders by suggesting related items, explaining features, and checks buying history.
Owns, qualifies and develops opportunities from marketing, outside sales, and national accounts.
Identifies ways for continuous improvement of processes.
Prepares, generates, and follows up on quotations to secure orders.
Reviews open customer order reports and acts on items at risk of delay.
Maintains backorder and expediting reports and customer notifications.
Reports industry trends, pricing and customer feedback to management.
