Job summary

Wesco is seeking a Representative - Inside Sales to engage with existing customers, grow orders, and add value to the buying experience. You will leverage proactive selling and collaborate with outside sales to meet goals.

The role emphasizes order processing, upselling, and maintaining customer relationships, with a commission structure and 0%–25% travel expectations. A strong team player with detail orientation is ideal.

Qualifications

• High School degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in sales or sales administration is expected; 2–4 years typical.

Responsibilities

• Obtains orders through email and telephone calls, verifies and enters items, transfers orders to fulfillment, explains stock-outs and delivery dates.
• Increases orders by suggesting related items and checking customer history.
• Owns, qualifies and develops opportunities from marketing, outside sales, and national accounts.
• Identifies ways for continuous improvement of processes.
• Prepares quotes to secure orders or analyze reasons for loss of order.
• Reviews open orders and follows up on items at risk of late delivery.
• Maintains backorder and expediting reports and customer notices.
• Reports industry trends, pricing, and customer feedback to management.
