Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking an Inside Sales Rep (ISR) at our Louisville, OH location. You’ll be the face of the store, assisting customers with product information, providing estimates, and processing sales transactions.

You’ll also follow up on quotes, cold call to qualify leads, support the Outside Sales Reps, and help with inventory control through cycle counts and resolving shortages or overages. The role includes training on products and our POS system; compensation includes salary plus

Qualifications

• Experience working in sales or customer service in a building materials environment.
• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Effective communication skills.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful, but not required.
• Ability to be a team player.
• Ability to ensure sales and profit goals are met.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in-store by sharing product information and advice.
• Produce estimates for packages/projects and process transactions.
• Follow up on online quotes and qualify new leads via cold calls.
• Support Outside Sales Reps and assist in inventory control (cycle counts, shortages/overages).
