Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking an Inside Sales Rep (ISR) to be the face of the store, delivering top-notch customer service. You’ll share product information, advise on projects, prepare estimates, and process transactions in a fast-paced lumberyard setting.

You will also follow up on online quotes, cold call to qualify leads, support Outside Sales Reps, and help with inventory counts. Salary plus commission, with uncapped earnings potential—grow with a family-owned company fostering people-first

Qualifications

• Experience in sales or customer service.
• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful but not required.
• Ability to be a team player.
• Ability to meet sales and profit goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in-store and share product information.
• Provide advice on project needs and produce estimates; process transactions.
• Follow up on online quotes and qualify new leads.
• Support Outside Sales Reps as needed.
• Assist in inventory control through cycle counts and addressing overages/shortages.
