Job summary

Smith’s Addressing Machine Services, Inc. (S.A.M.S. Inc.) in Garner, NC is seeking a motivated Inside Sales Representative to develop new business, support existing customers, and move opportunities from inquiry through quotes and orders.

You will conduct outbound prospecting, respond to inbound leads, prepare quotes, manage CRM opportunities, and collaborate with outside sales and technical teams to promote Access Control, Identification, Camera, and Visitor Management solutions.

Qualifications

• Previous inside sales, B2B sales, account management, customer service, or related revenue-facing experience.
• Strong prospecting and communication skills with confidence speaking with business decision-makers.
• Ability to ask effective discovery questions, handle objections, and recommend appropriate next steps.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, follow-through, and ability to manage multiple opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Generate new opportunities through outbound calls, personalized email outreach, inbound lead follow-up, and consistent prospecting.
• Conduct discovery conversations to understand customer needs, budgets, timelines, and potential solutions.
• Prepare and follow up on quotes, communicate pricing and lead times, and maintain clear next steps throughout the sales process.
• Develop existing customer relationships and identify opportunities for account growth and additional solutions.
• Conduct or coordinate product demonstrations, technical consultations, and site visits when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate customer, activity, pipeline, and follow-up information in CRM.
• Collaborate with outside sales representatives and internal teams to advance opportunities and support long-term customer relationships.
