Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking a Family Service Counselor to serve families through personalized planning and cemetery services. You will prospect, present pre-need options, and build trustful relationships with clients while collaborating with funeral directors and other SCI staff to ensure high-quality service.

The role requires strong communication, empathy, and sales skills, with evening/weekend availability and potential for meaningful, long-term client protection planning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent completed.
• 1-2 years of college or equivalent education/experience.
• 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead generation: prospection 1-2 hours daily and obtain referrals.
• Engage families with empathetic, respectful service and explain offerings.
• Build and maintain relationships with families and referrals.
• Coordinate with funeral directors and cemetery staff to ensure seamless service.
• Prepare for appointments and follow up on issues to ensure satisfaction.
