Qualifications

• Two to four years of retail experience in hardware/lumber preferred.
• Familiarity with product pricing, discounts, and estimating formulas.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Proven ability to influence and persuade customers and close sales.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer service to walk-in and contractor customers, or via telephone or email.
• Processes orders and enters them into the computer system.
• Generates sales quotations and assists with product selection and pricing.
• Schedules production and delivery of orders with store operations.
• Develops new accounts and researches potential customers for company products.
• Maintains safety procedures and contributes to a positive work environment.
